Weather and Harvest Conditions

2003 was marked by intermittent rain throughout the growing period. Fine periods allowed for ripening. It was a year similar to 2001.

Tasting Notes

Light ruby in colour with a nose of cedar and softening red berries.  The palette of softening red fruit gives way to a more robust, dusty tannin and minerality. A medium bodied wine with more complexity than vintages with similar weather profiles. Coming into the drinking window now and will develop well for another 5 – 10 years.
