1994

Weather and Harvest Conditions

The spring came with average rainfall and sunlight hours which produced good flowering. Veraison occurred at the usual time in early February. The ripening period was noted for its even rainfall and temperatures not exceeding 30°C. The vintage was therefore cooler and slightly damper than the 1993. However, this resulted in a well ripened and matured berry at time of harvest.

Quality of Vintage

Very good

Tasting Notes

A rich, supple, medium-weight wine with plenty of fresh, sweetly ripe oak-tinged fruit. Soft, smooth and delicately scented. Refined and persistent. Moderately structured. With age it has softened further and developed great length, elegance and precision of fruit. Will continue to develop gracefully for 5 – 10 years.
